ARCA updates the transaction thresholds that must be reported by Digital Wallets and Financial Institutions

This adjustment reflects the semi-annual update based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by INDEC. It was introduced by General Resolution 5512/2024.


📅 When does it take effect?


From January 1, 2025.


📋 What information is included, and what are the new thresholds?


The following transactions must be reported only if they exceed these thresholds:


  • 💰 $600,000

    • Total spending with national debit cards.

    • Total inflows or outflows in digital wallets.


  • 💰 $1,000,000

    • Total monthly bank credits.

    • Term deposits created during the month.

    • Cash withdrawals (domestic or international) through branches, ATMs, or other methods.

    • Month-end balances in bank accounts.

    • Month-end balances in digital wallets.


  • 💰 $2,000,000

    • Applies exclusively to digital wallets for bank or digital transfers exceeding this amount.
